Buddy's Stats Age: ~ 4 Breed: Cattle Dog X Sex: M/N Buddy’s Crime: Playing Tug of War...with the Sofa About Buddy�: Buddy came to us from our shelter partner, Olympic Peninsula Humane Society for help with some behavior challenges. Buddy was frustrated in the shelter, and displayed behaviors like jumping up, and excessively mouthing his handlers. He was placed in a home and returned after 24 hours, for playing tug with the sofa, and displaying reactive type behaviors on walks. When we took Buddy into our program, the extent of his many behavior challenges was unknown. But once he arrived, we learned he had a considerable distrust of humans, and a lot of frustration about the human world. The good news is, Buddy is extremely food motivated, so we’ve paired him with a trainer who is helping him work through his issues and he's doing amazing! Right now, Buddy gets regular training walks and training sessions to help him learn to thrive in the human world and he's come so far! Buddy knows all sorts of awesome behaviors like sit, stay, lie down, and place. He is very smart and he loves to learn. He's also very affectionate. He is crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He's got a lot of energy, so he's looking for an adventure companion that will take him hiking and exploring the beautiful PNW or play toys with him at home. While he does have some dog friends, we feel he'd be best as the only dog in the home. Buddy is looking for a home that is comfortable continuing his training and working with him so he can be the best pup he can be. Free lessons will be provided at our facility at no cost.
