We are very sad but we feel we need to find a new home for our 25lb nine year old Shiba, Buddy. He's very affectionate and cuddly, with a ton of energy. His favorite way to play is fetching, especially balls, which he will play for as long as you're willing to. A fenced in yard would be best for him as he really loves to be outside. Like most Shibas he's pretty quiet, but will bark when he noticies activity outside or at the door. He is neutered, current on all his shots and heartworm prevention, and in good overall condition including his teeth. He is totally housebroken and can be inside all day without having an accident. He's a very sweet boy at heart but is not a good candidate for a dog park or environment with unfamiliar dogs. A home without other cats or dogs is probably necessary for him. Buddy would like all your love! And he will give it right back to you. He's also been sweet with all people including children all his life, however he does not seem to be accepting of our toddler. We have decided it's best if he's not around very young children. So a home with older children who are dog savvy will be best for him. We're extremely distraught to be looking a new home for him because he's such a great boy. If possible, we would love to be able to visit Buddy in the future even if he finds himself in a different place.
