Hello there, I'm Buddy Paul a 7 year old Chihauha and I weigh a whopping 10 lbs! Life's simple pleasures make me wag my tail. A tennis ball? Oh, the joy! And socks, they're my secret delight. I'm a lap dog at heart and what I love most is cuddling with my Humans. My brother and I, we've had a life full of love but recently had some life changing events and our owners reached out to this nice rescue to help us find a new home. They were sad to let us go and I can't help but miss them but I believe in new beginnings. I'm ready to share my sweetness, my gentleness, my cuddly nature with you. I am UTD on my vaccinations, microchipped, neutered and HW negative! I'm kid and dog friendly but I'm a little unsure about the felines so it's probably best I find a home without cats. So, why adopt me? Because every home deserves a Buddy to love. This dog is ready for his forever home! The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
