Buford

This is Buford! He is full of energy and loves to play--he is always carrying a toy around and loves to play fetch. He has a typical german shepherd bark and will bark when he sees other dogs or people. When he is in the play yard he is somewhat quiet and keeps himself entertained with his toys. He is a nice dog but can be a bit pushy with himself and is very confident so he will need someone that is equally confident and familiar with Shepherd tendencies. Buford is between 4-5 yrs old. He will need someone who understands his breed and can help him channel his energy in the right ways. He is pretty good on a leash and he knows some commands but we suggest further obedience training or other training with his adopter. Due to his exuberance we would suggest a home with older children. When he plays or takes snacks he can be a bit mouthy/grabby but not in an aggressive manner--so so his adopter will need some patience with some extra training in that area. If you're experienced with German Shepherds and ready for a fun-loving companion, please contact us. ***As mentioned we suggest older children. And we do not know how he is with cats. He keeps his kennel area clean for the most part, he does have an occasional accident when we are not here to let him out. He reacts ok with some dogs---we require all dogs to meet your current dogs before we will approve an adoption. Buford is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, has been wormed and is microchipped.
