Thanks for your support w/ rescue This little butterball named Bunker was adopted by an elderly man when he was only a year old. He spent three years with him until the mans health began depleating to the point that he was no longer able to properly take care of him. He contacted CCHS for help... Bunker is now in our Adoption program awaiting a forever home. Bunker is 4 years old. He is a sweet guy who can stand to lose about 10lbs. He loves going for walks and he rides well in the car. Bunker gets along w/ dogs, cats and kids. He prefers to sleep in a doggie bed w/ humans but he is also crate trained and will run in his crate for a treat. Bunker can be trusted to have free roam of the house. Bunker does fine just hanging out watchin TV or playing fetch in the backyard. Overall he is just a laid back guy who would do well just about anywhere:) Because his previous owner did not keep him current on HW prev, he tested positive for HWs and went through treatment on 10.20 and 10.21 and is now back to regular exercise and activity. There is no long term care for a dog after they have been treated for heartworms. He will just go back on monthly HW prev like every other dog.
