My Story

Buster is a 10 month old mixed breed dog with the sweetest personality ever. He was purchased as a puppy and was recently relinquished by his family. We just cannot figure out why. He loves his people and would love to find a home where he can just hang out with his family. Buster is a housebroken and well mannered pup. He gets along great with other dogs and kids too. He is looking for a forever home to call his own. Buster is currently living with a foster family and absolutely loves every minute of it. His foster family reports that Buster is perfect in the house and is crate-trained. Buster is highly attentive and catches on to new things quickly. He's both toy-motivated and treat-motivated. Combine that with his active brain and biddable nature and he's got something fabulous. Buster has the ability to be whatever his new family wants him to be: A therapy dog, an obedience champion, an agility star, a buddy to hang out and watch TV with. Or, he could be just an all round great family dog (though older kids would be a better match than younger ones). He's super-cute, standing about 19 inches tall at the shoulder and weighing around 40-ish pounds… a very nice size; not too big, not too little. Who can resist those giant ears, soft eyes and pink spotted nose? Buster's foster family says that he has been a joy to have around: lively, playful, energetic, calms down easily, listens well, friendly to everyone, rides great in the car, not food aggressive, you can touch him anywhere, extremely snuggly. Sounds perfect? Well, there is one thing. Buster can sail over a 4 foot fence with no problem… not to get a way from you, but to get to you, if you are on the other side of the fence. This is something that is completely trainable, but will need to be managed. Buster's incredible disposition and personality far make up for his fence jumping. He is a wonderful dog and if you are interested in adopting him please fill out an application at www.placingpawsrescue.org or call 224-433-6537 for more information. His adoption donation of $250 helps support all of the rescued pets of Placing Paws.
