Butch's ideal home would probably be an active family with older kids due to his exuberance and energy. He is fine with cats. He loves to run and play, and he's learning to walk on a leash. Butch does well with a couple of walks a day, plus time to run in the yard.
Butch sleeps in his crate without a fuss, and his house training is going very well. He hasn't had any obedience training, and at his size, it's a must. He would definitely benefit from formal classes. He also is learning to live as part of his foster family's pack. So far he has been eating separately. We suspect he's not accustomed to predictable mealtimes, and once he adjusts, he won't feel compelled to guard his supper dish.
Butch hopes to find a home where someone can invest some time in his basic training, where he has active people to get outside with and where the humans enjoy sloppy wet puppy kisses.
