Butter

Momma Butter is a very sweet 1.5yr old, ~25 lb beagle. She loves her people and will do whatever necessary to be by you. That being said, if left unattended, she will try to find a way to escape. Miss Butter was full term in her pregnancy when she decided she wanted to explore the Halls area. Somehow she managed to get out of our gated backyard and travel 8.5 MILES away. She will need a very secure yard to play, sunbathe, and be with her humans. In her current kennel setup, she even eyes the concrete floor to find humans ( she doesn’t want to be with her puppies anymore). She has only ever been in a smaller crate at night once, and she softly whined three different times throughout the night (nothing crazy). She likes to play with her puppies when they are supervised out in the back yard. She tries to play with our dogs but they aren’t too interested. As a beagle, she is food driven, and takes correction with a touch of beagle stubborn added in. Foster family have been working on “off” when she jumps up and “no” when she looks very interested in a plate of food. Butter loves going on walks, where she zig zags for the entirety. If she sees another person or dog walking, she will wag her tail, pull, and bark at them - wanting to get attention but can’t contain her excitement. When excited, she whines and shakes. Most of the day, she sleeps around on the couch, dog bed, or even a pillow. She loves cuddling and snuggling. She is doing well house training with supervision and schedule.
