UPDATE: Caesar is currently in a foster home. This is what his foster mom has to say about him:
"My vet estimated Caesar to be about 7-8 years old. He is a pure-bred Rottweiller. He is well trained and very accepting of having ears cleaned, etc. He obeys commands quite nicely. Caesar is very friendly and
seems to love everyone, even children and strangers (he is NOT a good watchdog
because he's too friendly to everyone!). He gets along very well with
my grand-dog (a tiny female Chihuahua). Caesar has tested heartworm and Lyme negative, and is currently on Interceptor monthly. Caesar just had the
newest series of leptosporosis vaccines. He also gets Frontlined every month. He weighs about 103 pounds and has a gorgeous coat! He is
energetic and loves to play, go on walks, and go for car rides. He wags his tail whenever it's time to be combed; he loves to be patted and fussed over.
When he eats, he has no problem with me putting my hands in his food, rotating his dish while he eats, or playing with his collar while he eats. I have never had him near cats, so I can't comment on that issue".
