Meet Miss Callie! This girl is as sweet as they come! Her story did not start out so good though. A good samaritan found her and her 4 puppies in a sewerage drain in a rural town in Tx on the Mexico border. She was very fearful of humans and with good reason. The kids and adults in the area treated this family horribly while they were on the streets. One thing we do know for a fact was that she was shot by someone. In order to get this family to safety, Callie had to be shot with a tranquilizer gun because she was so fearful. Thank God those days are behind her now!! She has absolutely blossomed with her current foster. Callie is a little standoffish with strangers, so she will just need a family that is patient and will allow her a couple days to open up. She loves to play with other dogs and is a great cuddler! She has done well with children, cats are unknown but she is pretty laid back.
