My Story

It's summer, and Callie brought her sunglasses for the party! Do us a favor, and don't tell her that they're a bit lopsided, because that's pretty much the cutest thing ever. They match right up with her wonky ears, and OMG we've hit the adorable puppy jackpot. This darling crookedly bespectacled lady is a 7-month-old pittie mix who'll be a medium-sized gal, probably 50ish lbs. Are you the kind of dog owner who needs to be told what to do? If so, you're in luck. Callie is in foster with a Husky, and she has learned to be vocal about her wishes. You won't waste any time wondering if Callie prefers this or that, or wondering what it is that Callie would like to be doing. She'll take away the guesswork. She's a ball of energy and loves to play with the other dogs. She also really loves her people and prefers to keep them close, so she can see exactly what they're up to. She came to us with rather low dog self-esteem, but she is gaining a lot of confidence from her foster dog siblings. She's a smart girly who is learning commands and knows when the treats come out. Not a requirement, but she would benefit from being in a home with another dog to help keep that self-esteem on the up and up. Some of Callie's favorite summertime activities are: the pool, the splash pad, any and all water she can find, playing with kiddos, tug of war with friends and chewing on her antlers. This girl is a play hard/nap harder puppy. So, if your family is in need of another pair of sunglasses, and you happen to prefer your shades to be crooked, then Callie is your girl. She'll pep up your place and keep you right in line. Callie has almost mastered potty training and is working on kennel training. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, as well as current on preventatives for flea/tick and heartworm. Her adoption fee is $175. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from pawsitivetailskc.org!
