My Story
Meet Canelo, a sweet and vocal 3-year-old dog who loves to play. He gets along great with children (his BBF is his 10 year old human brother) and other easygoing dogs. Found in August 2023 on the streets of Memphis, Canelo was fostered and then adopted, but returned when his new family had to travel. His original foster home welcomed him back with open arms.
Canelo is protective of his home and loved ones, but quickly warms up to visitors once introduced. He thrives in a home with dogs that enjoy play but aren't overly assertive. He loves socializing, running, and going on walks.
Mostly housebroken, Canelo occasionally needs a reminder not to mark indoors. He's well-behaved, sleeps comfortably in a crate, on the couch, or in his bed, and has never shown separation anxiety or destructive behavior.
Canelo enjoys jumping on the trampoline, snuggling on the couch, and learning new tricks, especially when treats are involved. He loves car rides and would be a fantastic travel companion.
Just a wonderful all around great pup!!!
