Capriccio

This sweet measure of music is dancing her way into her foster's heart. With a guesstimated birthday in Aug. 2021, Capriccio weighed about 30 lb at her spay in March 2022. She is a happy girl but is easily intimidated by new experiences. She would like to be with her people, but they need to give her opportunities to learn to trust they'll keep her safe. Capriccio is comfy in a 42" crate which allows her room to sprawl. She doesn't make a mess overnight but will want to go out as soon as her people are awake. She needs to work on her leash manners as she gets excited and pulls. She also is nervous in the car but would rather go with her peeps than stay home. ********** Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we make our best guess as to birthdate and breed. For adult dogs, our adoption fee covers a standard canine vaccine, a rabies vaccine, and deworming if recommended by our vet. Adult dogs will also have current heartworm test. For puppies over the age of 14 weeks, our adoption fee covers the first 3 puppy vaccines. If the puppy is still in our care at 16 weeks, we will also provide the rabies vaccine. A vet reference is required only if you are adopting an intact dog over 6 months of age (or the age our attending veterinarian recommends for spay/neuter) to ensure future altering of the dog. A refundable spay/neuter deposit is required for intact dogs/puppies. Open Adoption Events for Foster Dogs are held on most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Open Adoption Events for Bunch Anderson Shelter Dogs are held every Saturday from noon-4:00 p.m. Please check our FB page for changes in Adoption Event Schedules.
