My name is Capricorn and I am looking for my fur-ever home. I heard that I used to live with several dogs in Kentucky until my owner died. Luckily the volunteers at Almost Home Foundation saved me so I could have a second chance. I am currently in a foster home with two adult humans and two doggie sisters while I wait to be adopted. Here is what my foster parents know about me thus far:
-- I am dog-friendly and housebroken.
-- I am crate-trained but I spend most of my time in a playpen. Even when the playpen door is open, I still prefer to be in there rather than exploring the house.
-- I do not know how I am with cats.
-- I can be left home alone.
-- I am very skittish so children would be too scary for me. Also, an overly busy home with lots of people coming-and-going would be overwhelming, too.
-- So far I have not been very cuddly with people. I will occasionally let my foster parents pet me but mostly I run away from them. I do not like being picked up.
-- I am neutered, up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, and heartworm negative. I weigh about 14.5 pounds. I probably need to gain a pound or so.
In terms of a forever home, I need someone with lots of love and patience to help me learn to trust. I am not a social butterfly that wants to meet everyone. Previous experience with scared/skittish dogs is a plus. Since I am skittish and do not walk on a leash, I will also need a secure fenced yard for potty-time. It doesn't need to be a big yard, just a secure one.

Almost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:
(1) Be at least 21 years of age;
(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;
(3) Have approval from the residence owner;
(4) Have valid ID with current address;
(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and
`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)
