Hi everyone. I'm Captian, completely recovered and ready for adoption. They tell me that I am a real trooper. A kind couple rescued me from the streets. The vet says that I had been hit by a car and had a bullet wound! i am overwhelmed by the many people that stepped up to the plate help me when I needed an army of champions. Even though my rescuers moved to New Jersey they didn't give up on me. I 've come such a long way from when it was suggested that I be put to sleep. Now all I need is a place to call home!
This is Captain's story. We are so close to Captain's fairytale ending. He is the essence of not giving up...we didn't give up on him, and he proved to us that he was worth it. He is a happy, sweet, well adjusted dog, with an amazing will to live and more importantly to love. He is affectionate with everyone, including children and other pets. He is a survivor of his neglected past.
He is now free of heartworms. His open laceration on his leg is 100% healed - not even a limp after having his hind leg ripped open probably by a car.
