Meet the sweetest girl with the most adorable ears, Caramel! She’s a 6 or 7 year old, 40lbs greyhound mix and can’t wait to find her forever home. She loves to sunbathe, sit for treats and wiggle under your arm for pets. She’s house trained, and will happily go in her kennel when told or snuggle on her bed next to the couch. She’s extremely food motivated and loves learning new things that will grant her a tasty reward! She loves people and dogs and is just an easygoing, happy girl now that she’s in a wonderful foster home. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
