Carlsberg was surrendered by his owners as they could not afford the surgery to fix his 2 front broken legs. He jumped off their bed and that is all it took.
He is only 15 weeks old, and needed surgery immediately. Today is July 15, 2009 and he will have his surgery done by the end of today.
However, this will cost the rescue $4500 give or take. We are asking the animal loving community to please donate towards Carlsberg. This is a huge sum of money that we simply do not have on hand, but we could not let this new baby be euthanized because money wasn't available at that exact moment.
Carlsberg will be up for adoption after a full recovery. We will not be accepting applications until such time.
He will be fostered until all his bones have healed and rechecks are done. His prognosis is good.
