Meet Cassie!! (case #06-28-OTC-04) Hi there, I'm Cassie, a charming 6 to 7-year-old Husky cross eagerly searching for my forever home! I may seem a bit timid at first, but with patience and love, I blossom into a high-energy, playful girl who is ready to explore the world with you. Personality: I'm a gentle soul who warms up quickly once I feel safe and secure. Outside, I transform into a bundle of energy, ready for adventures and playtime. I'll need someone who can take it slow with me initially, helping me build trust so I can show you my true exuberant personality. But once I know you, I bond like crazy glue!! Activity Needs: Being a Husky mix, I thrive on lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it's long walks, hikes, or play sessions, I'm happiest when I'm active and engaged. Playing catch is my favourite game and a great way for me to get exercise! A home that can provide both physical and mental challenges will keep me happy and healthy. I know how to be a couch dog too, though, and love belly rubs. Health Notes: I'm currently receiving treatment for some skin issues, which may require ongoing care. Despite this, I'm resilient and looking forward to a bright future with a loving family who can provide for my needs. Home Recommendations: Due to my initial timidness and unknown history with small children, it's best if I'm in a home with older children or adults who can understand and respect my boundaries. I've shown curiosity towards rabbits and cats, so slow introductions and supervision would be ideal. I've also shown positive interactions with other dogs, particularly enjoying playtime with a male Lab mix. And I get super excited everytime I spot a fly, squirrel or bird. I take squirrel watching very seriously. Training and Bonding: I already know the basics like sit and I'm housetrained, but ongoing obedience training will not only help me learn new commands but also strengthen the bond between us. I'm motivated by food and toys, making training sessions both fun and rewarding. Final Thoughts: I'm a very affectionate gal once I know you and get sad and a bit anxious when left alone.
