My Story

Do you have time for a short story? We would like to tell you about a special little girl named Cha ta. This darling was tied up outside with no shelter. A kind neighbor was trying to befriend her but she was terrified. So much so that when she was given a dog house to keep her out of the elements, she chose to stand out in the rain. The owners moved and left Cha ta behind. This was good news for her. Her hero took her into a real home and started gaining her trust. With lots of patience and love, Cha ta has begun to trust and her true self is shining through. Cha ta is a 1-year-old smaller pittie mix weighing 35lbs. She has been given a second chance at the life she deserves and we are determined to find her happily ever after. Since taking her in, her hero has learned a lot about her. She absolutely loves cuddles. We believe it may be something she never really experienced before. Cha ta loves other doggos and plays nicely with them. She is a bit timid around people as she did not get a lot of human interaction while in her previous home. Once she feels she can trust you, she will be your friend for life. Cha ta likes her chew toys, the stronger the better. If she doesn't have something to chew on, she will find something so best to keep those chew toys handy. Housetraining is coming along nicely. This is a new concept for her but she is catching on quickly. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night with no accidents. Cha ta knows sit on command and is eager to learn more and more. She does well on leash and enjoys exploring on her walks. This athletic girl will need a wood fence or leash walks as she will climb a chain link fence. If you believe you can give Cha ta her happily ever after, fill out an application to meet her at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Her adoption fee is $175. She will be spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations and preventatives at time of adoption.
