My Story

Hi Everyone!! My name is Chance. I am a Catahoula, Pit Mix. I am about 2 years old. I am so excited to tell you my story! I am a very happy boy who has a lot of love to give! I LOVE food and learning new tricks. My foster mom tells me that I am VERY smart. What the humans don’t know is that I like learning new tricks because that means I always get treats! Don’t tell them my secret! I love to meet new people, dogs and cats. Cats confuse me but, I will learn how to respect them (remember this is how I get treats). I am potty trained and crate trained. My current foster is working really hard to help me learn everything I need to be successful! I am literally the perfect boy. I have quite the medical story. I am actually missing a foot! The vets aren't really sure if it is from trauma or if I was born this way. But, don’t worry, it does not bother me at all!! My foster mom bought me a super cool sock. This protects my leg and helps me walk. Most of the time, I forget I have it on. Eventually, I might even get something called a prosthetic leg? I am not sure what that is but, I hope it involves treats! My team at Last Stop Rescue can walk you through it. Please apply to meet me today! I promise you will not regret it. I am a handsome boy who is just looking for a family to shower with love! ———————————- About our process and fees———————————— Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/ If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il! We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters! Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have. When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support! Our Fees are as follows: Senior dogs over 7 are $450 Adult dogs are $650 Puppies under 1 year are $800 Specific breeds are $900 With each adoption you will be... 1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator), a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home. 2. Full medical report of all findings, 3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog, 4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed! 5. On going support post adoption as long as needed! We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
