**Update** (12/22/09) My sweet boy and one of my soul dogs, Chance, just went to the Rainbow Bridge a few minutes ago. He was about 16 years old and fought hard to stay with us for the 18 months that we were lucky enough to have him in our lives. Chance was one of the most gentle souls I have ever rescued. He went peacefully in my arms.....and will be greatly missed. Watch for me at the bridge, my gentle man....I will see you again someday....RIP..... (1/5/09) Due to Chance's medical issues, he will be staying here with us at Angels Among Us. Chance is doing really well here with us. He is affectionate and just loves to lie at my feet no matter what I am doing. He is doing well with his medications. Thanks to everyone who has donated towards Chance's ongoing medical care. We truly appreciate it! Chance is a wonderful, gentle boy who has some problems with his back legs, mostly due to his age. Chance tested heartworm positive, but due to his age and physical strength, he could not tolerate the treatment. He is on an herbal supplement program to rid his body of the heartworms. Donations are needed for this program as he will be on it for several months. Any donations for Chance's medical care would be greatly appreciated! Chance will be living out his remaining years at Angels Among Us Animal Sanctuary surrounded by people who love him.
