Super responsive to her person Food and praise motivated Calm and relaxed in car LOVES chin pets and back scratches, and rubbing through your legs Athletic and playful, but undemanding about it Curious, brave, and resilient, just needs a slow pace Just wants to be at your side, loving you From her foster family: Chapina is blossoming outside of the scary shelter, and wow, she is a GEM. She is sweetness itself, and the most responsive foster we've had yet! This gentle, intelligent girl wants to connect so badly-she is going to be the most devoted companion to her family. Chapina is affectionate with our resident dog, giving him little kisses and staying close. She would make the best friend to your best friend! Although she seems like she has zero experience with most things, by your side Chapina is intelligent, curious, and brave. She's a smart cookie, and strongly motivated by both food and praise, so she's already good at previously scary things like stairs, getting into vans, and taking neighborhood walks. We even took her on vacation, and she was very easy and a joy to travel with! Chapina is a sweet and sensitive soul who will likely need some time and space to decompress in a new home. For the patient adopter, the reward will be the most wonderful, loving, devoted dog. Chapina just wants to be loved and to love you!
