NEWBIE ALERT! Hi, my name is Charlie. You may remember me from numerous posts on the Mobile AL Missing and Found Animals page when I was stuck on the rocks by the 3 Mile Creek bridge. I was picked up by a nice couple, but they work a lot and have an old grouchy dog that just won't give me a chance to love her. So, they are looking for me a foster or adopter that can give me the time I need to run and play. The doctor says I am about a year old and I now weigh about 26 pounds, but shouldn't get much bigger. The doctor also said I am heartworm negative (below detectable levels), don't have intestinal parasites and I'm up to date on my vaccines now. I have been neutered, but I still need to get my microchip. I love playing with people and other dogs, particularly bigger dogs as I learn a lot from them. I have seen cats, but not sure about them yet. I just let them go about their business as I go about mine. The couple that helped me says I need a little more structure in my life, and they love me, but know a new family would be best for me. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
