Meet Charlie! Charlie is a male, 8-year-old, American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He weighs 86 pounds.
Charlie arrived at the shelter after his owner passed away. Charlie was very confused and quiet for the first couple of days that he was here, but we quickly found the way to his heart - TOYS! Charlie loves tennis balls, stuffed toys, squeaky toys, ropes, you name it! With a toy, you could see his eyes light up and his little puppy heart become so excited! Charlie also does his best to keep his kennel clean and go to the restroom outside, so we believe he may be house trained.
Charlie will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.
Charlie is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today.
