**ADOPTION FEE WAIVED** Intake date: 5/30/23 Intake type: Surrender DOB: 01/26/2021 Gender: Male Weight: 60 lbs Charlie is a sweet, wiggly, playful boy. He LOVES going for walks, but he’s also incredibly snuggly and affectionate. Charlie likes meeting new people and going on adventures where he can sniff around. Charlie would do best in a home without cats, dogs, or children due to some ongoing behavioral issues. We’re not sure what has happened in his past, as he first came to us as a stray, but Charlie has pretty bad separation anxiety. He does well at the shelter, but former adopters have had trouble with crate training and keeping him out of trouble. He is a strong dog who is very determined to be right at your side. Charlie has also developed issues with resource guarding as a result of his long stay here at the shelter. Any potential adopter would have to be committed to working with Charlie and invest their time into crate training and overcoming his anxiety. We have purchased a special crate for Charlie that will go with him upon adoption. We think the ideal home for Charlie would be one with a fenced-in yard and strong, active people who have time to help Charlie become the great dog he is inside.
