Hello, my name is Charlie! I am a handsome, fun loving guy who wants nothing more than to be with you. At 87 lbs, I would like to have a yard where I can run and play and if you have other dogs- the more the merrier. However, I may just be the smartest since I know how to sit, shake, lay down and come up. You may have guessed that I am very treat motivated and love toys! So you have a cat. In my foster home I was with a dog savvy cat and we got along well. However, I had been adopted but returned because I was fixated - Dog friendly (when properly introduced, if inside our fenced yard he is territorial towards dogs outside of the fence) - Cat selective - he has been around a dog savvy cat that lounges around and is lazy, and he didn't seem to mind. However in an adoptive home, he frequently fixated on the cat and gave chase trying to grab it. We feel he would likely do best in a home without them. - Can be left out of his crate when leaving the home, he is not destructive. Just naps and waits for his people. - Charlie needs a thunder buddy. He is not a fan of thunderstorms. He gets anxious, pants and whines. But was not destructive. - Car rides -- does the best crated for car rides. He barks and chases every car that goes by. - He is protective of his people. Slow introduction or separation from new people is needed. He will nips towards people who are in his home that aren't his people until he's comfortable. - He is high energy and sometimes unaware of his size. We have been working on his jumping (as he jumps up with all four paws off the ground when he is excited). With time I think he will master "off". - Has done decent on a leash but we honestly haven't gone for many walks, he just loves running the back yard. Apply to meet me at tailsandtrails.org.
