Charlie VII (New Digs)

Charlie VII is a handsome two-year-old mixed breed, weighing 70 pounds. Our daughter adopted him in Sherman, where she attends college, in August 2022. She often volunteered at the local animal shelter there and couldnt resist Charlie when she met him--he tugged at her heartstrings. Since she could not keep him at school, she brought him home in September 2022, where he joined our 5 other rescue/shelter dogs. He is fully house-broken and crate-trained. In November 2022, he successfully completed a 3-week training course for obedience and leash walking. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Charlie is a low-key pup who likes to hang out with his person. He is sweet and likes to snuggle with you. Hes a leaner and loves to give hugs and kisses. He loves his treats and taking a sunbath on a nice day! Another great thing about Charlie is hes not a big barker. He gets along with our other dogs, except for one--he doesnt get along with one of the 2-year-old pups. We have tried to make it work, but it is for this reason, we feel it would be in his best interest to go to a home where he is an only dog, or perhaps with an older dog. It is unknown how he would interact with children or cats, but I would say, he would probably prefer a life without them. Since Charlie enjoys spending time with his person, someone who is home most of the day, retired, or works from home would be an ideal home for him. Also, he needs a nice-sized fenced yard. Charlie would be a wonderful companion and fill your heart with all the comfort, joy, and love you desire. He is an old soul and to meet him and have him look into your eyes is to love him!
