Cheerios

Cheerios is a 1 year old pit boxer mix. She was brought in through our humane officer after living in a crate in a barn for most of her life. She was understandably very scared coming into the shelter. She still is the most scared out of the six we got from the property, but she is making improvements. She still trembles and cowers, but now she does like when staff and volunteers visit her in her kennel and soaks up the attention. We're taking things slow with her to not overwhelm her more. Even in all of her fear she hasn't been aggressive or snippy with staff once- everything is just new and big to her. She does well with other dogs and we can cat test her for an approved application.
