He is leash trained but would benefit from a round of positive reinforcement trainin classes to brush up on his basic commands. Chester went on a “daycation” with shelter staff/volunteers and did well around respectful children. Notes from the shelter: Chester is a young and energetic lad, with a playful spirit that shines through when he's around his canine friends. Despite his initial shyness, he's quick to warm up and engage in some good ol' rough and rowdy play. He might be a bit nervous around sudden movements or loud noises, but with a gentle approach and a soothing voice, he soon starts wagging his tail and snuggling up next to you. With his mid-sized build, he's just the right mix of cuddly and active, perfect for those fun-filled walks or chill afternoons in the yard. Chester would thrive with an active family/person loving to accompany you on your hikes, camping trips, walks around the hood, playing fetch – please, don't let this young boy not have a chance at living his best life.
