My Story

Hounds come into Rescue in a variety of ways, but Chestnut's approach was a first: she wandered up to a home in a rural area as a starving stray and crashed the wedding that was underway! The bridesmaids took care of her, and the bride's parents became her foster family. This 6 year old Redtick girl is now in good weight at 60 lbs and ready for a new home. She loves the company of children and seeks out human affection. She also enjoys playing with the other dog in her foster family. Chestnut has not been cat-tested. She is housetrained and quickly learned how to use a dog door. She is a good car passenger, typically napping most of the ride. Chestnut is waiting in the Knoxville area for her new home.
