She had a surgery for Intussusception in November, 2008 and recovered completely. |
Cheyenne was found with her sister at the corner of an ATM location near by the rescuer's office on a chilly rainy day in Winter, November, 2008. They were wrapped with wet newspapers and placed on a small mat. The rescuer took Cheyenne to a vet for she's very sick. Cheyenne was diagnosed with Intussusception and needed a emergent surgery. The vet told the rescuer Cheyenne might not be able to survive the big surgery for she was so young (2-3 months old) and weak. Amazingly, this little brave girl made it and came to a complete recovery!

Cheyenne was recovering from surgery:
Cheyenne is now a very healthy dog. The vet was also amazed by her recovery without sequela. She does not need any special diet. However, please don't feed her too much for she LOVES FOOD very much! She gets diarrhea if she eats too much, which is normal and not related to her prior surgery.
Cheyenne is very active and passionate. She is very friendly to people and like kids. She gets along with other dogs and cats. She likes to play with dogs and usually leaves cats alone. She always stops her business when she sees other dogs around and wants to play with them. Her foster always needs to watch her doing her business and then lets her play after she's done. She is very active and playful; she especially likes to play with water bowl. She would be a very good companion for your outdoor activities! However, she is not completely house broken. She stays in crate and comes out every 5 to 6 hours at her foster home. She can hold for 5 or 6 hours but sometimes pees again when she's back in the crate in an hour or so. When her foster says no to her such behavior, she would hold again without having any accident in the crate for a while until next time when she forgets again. Though Cheyenne is already 1.5 year old but still like a puppy and needs patience and training to become your dog.
