Chi Chi

This senior sweetie will be a wonderful companion. She lost her family after her young owner entered the military and the family who couldn’t care for her themselves felt they had no choice but to take her to a local shelter. We’re so glad she came to us! Her foster mom sent us the below info on Chi Chi. (And also said that they would likely be a foster failure themselves if they had room to adopt another animal. Chi Chi really needs her own family!) "With her energy, it’s hard to believe that Chiquita (Chi Chi) recently turned 11 years old! This spunky senior girl loves running in the backyard and wrestling with her much younger foster siblings (one of which is a 95 lbs male Rhodesian Ridgeback mix!). When she isn’t playing, Chi Chi can be found snoozing on a fleece blanket, chewing on toys, or cuddling with her foster mom (aka current favorite human). Chi Chi is wary of strangers and will bark until she gets used to them (bribery with treats always helps), but it won’t stop her from letting them pet her or give a head scratch. Housebroken and crate trained, Chi Chi would be the ideal companion for someone who is home often. While she loves her foster siblings, she would do just fine being an only dog.
