Chicken Tender

If you’re looking for a fur baby that will absolutely love you with her whole heart right from the beginning-Chicken Tender is your gal. Though she’s been through a lot in her life, Chicken Tender has spent her days in her foster home cuddling with her foster parents, enjoying walks and hikes, playing with her foster doggo sister, and healing from the scars of her past. She came to us with sensitive skin issues, and after months of trial and error care, an allergy test, and limited ingredient food, she’s doing much better! Chicken Tender is crate trained and house-broken (she hasn’t had even one accident in her foster home!), she walks very well on a leash, is good with other dogs as long as the introduction is taken slow (she’s not a dog that can just be thrown into an interaction with a new dog) and LOVES people. Her favorite activities include going “bye-bye” in the car, snuggling (and snoring) with her head on your chest, giving endless kisses, and learning how to play fetch and wrestle with her foster sister. She hasn’t lived with cats or children, though she has stayed at a respite foster home with a 2 year old and did well there, but overall, her foster mom is unsure how she is with kids and cats in the home. Chicken Tender is a fighter and a survivor with so much love to give. It’s been a joy to watch her heal her skin and grow into a home where she feels safe and secure enough to be a dog. She would make a wonderful companion for anyone willing to learn her quirks, and her foster mom can’t wait to watch her thrive in her forever home!
