Chief is a 1 year old, 80ish lb Golden boy who is being surrendered as his person is getting ready to have a baby and move to a place that does not allow dogs. They say: "Chief is a very sweet and loving dog who is still a BIG PUPPY. He loves cuddles and baths as well as his cat brothers and sisters. He is just very big and unaware of his size". He may do best in a home with no small kids, as he does not know his big size and is high energy, and would knock them down accidentally. Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard... meaning direct access to the yard from the home so this means no apartments or condos.
This big boy needs a home where his people will have the time and patience to give him the LOTS OF exercise and direction and work with him on potty-training and basic commands. A BIG TIRED puppy is a GOOD BIG TIRED puppy!!! The GRRAND kennel staff say he is just so incredibly sweet and his pictures do him no justice at all!
