Meet China, the adorable house hippo who has wiggled her way into our hearts! This little chubster might need to shed a few pounds, but we're working on that with regular walks. Although she breathes heavily during our strolls, she loves to cool off by plopping down on the hardwood floor afterward. We're committed to helping her get back in shape with plenty of exercise. China is a champ on a leash, walking right next to us without pulling. She has her playful moments, but overall, she's well-behaved. When we stand still, she sits, and when she sees everyone else relaxing, she lies down just like her foster sister, Zofia. Even in open spaces, she sticks close by, enjoying her time in our fenced area where she rolls around and stays near us. In her crate, China settles down as long as it's covered. If it's uncovered, she can get a bit whiny, but with the cover on, she either sleeps or plays gently with her toys. It's hilarious to watch this big dog handle toys so delicately! We believe China would thrive best in a single-dog home where she can get the attention and training she needs to overcome her guarding tendencies. Despite these quirks, she is very obedient, knows her boundaries, and respects gated areas. China is a loving and cuddly girl who adores belly rubs and giving kisses. She's like a little bulldozer, determined to snuggle her way into the middle of any cuddle session. Her tail is always wagging, and she never fails to bring a smile to our faces. She's house-trained, accident-free, and excellent in the car, either sitting nicely or lying down. China is an incredibly sweet dog who just needs a patient home willing to invest time in her training. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, China is ready to fill that role with all the cuddles and kisses you could ever want.
