Chloe

Meet darling three-year-old Chloe. She came to us from North Carolina, emaciated and heartworm positive. We suspect she had recently had puppies. We began heartworm treatment while building her strength, and now that she has gained 15 pounds and is heartworm free, she is fit and ready for everything. Chloe is very smart, knows some commands and is quick to learn. She listens well and has great eye contact so training with her will be a breeze. She is very sweet and affectionate. She is house and crate trained, and loves meeting new people. She can be exuberant so she’ll want to jump up in greeting unless she is reminded to keep all four on the ground. She is also very curious so she’ll want to know about everything around her, including anything and everyone outside her home. She will need a securely fenced yard. Chloe also loves to chew so tough chew toys are perfect for her. Chloe loves other dogs and would love to have a playmate and room to run. Today Chloe weighs 50 pounds, so even though she is easy to correct, a little more leash training would be helpful. Chloe probably has some boxer, terrier and perhaps pointer in her as she is interested in squirrels, birds and anything roaming in her yard. Chloe is a gem, and will be a great dog for a very lucky family.
