Chocolate PB Chunk

ADOPTED!!! When I met this lovable 3 year old gal, I didn't know her name, so I called her the obvious...Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk. After all she looks like a sweet delicacy with her rich colors and her chunky stature (60 pounds). Well, wouldn't you know...it stuck! We realize it's a mouthful, so we call her Chunks or Chunkers for short. In fact, when I take her walking at Fiesta Island dog park she comes when called and honestly she answers much better to Chunks than she does to her given name of Hailee! She's also earned the title of Supreme Court Justice, because of her abilities to manage her doggie friends and always ensure that the law of fairness is handed down. This honorable gal has a confidence that is depicted by her leadership role in helping mete out portions of food to the other pooches at meal time, or managing a crowd of dogs to ensure order. If she finds a dog being treated unfairly or picking on another, she'll be the first on the scene to keep the peace!! Occasionally her leadership role goes to her head & borders on exuberance and in these situations, a quick reprimand will help Chunks resume her calm, cool and collected manner. She's also not such a bad housekeeper because trust me, if there's any left over food sitting on the counter (or floor for that matter) she'll clean it up in a jiffy, although we do believe this may be the basis for her current husky stature. At the dog park or beach she'll merrily explore and is often up for a neighborly greeting with passing dogs, if she's not too busy examining the vicinity. She's happy to frolic with any size dog. As a "justice" she can sometimes be persuaded to follow the actions of her fellow canines, so as "Chief Justice", it's your job to occasionally remind her of her proper role, to which she will readily comply.
