My Story

When Chuck joined the rescue, he was a medical mess. He had horrible demodex mange, ear infections, and hair loss all over his body. After antibiotics and countless medicated baths, Chuck is healed and ready to find his forever home! Chuck is a typical Pittie puppy; curious, playful, loving, and a little mischievous. His foster family says he is the perfect balance of playfulness and laziness. He absolutely loves to snuggle, whether it's with humans or other dogs. Chuck is wonderful with other pups, and we require a home with another dog who is ready for a little brother to mentor and play with. Chuck is kennel trained and almost completely potty trained. He is extremely food motivated, so training has been a breeze. This boy is going to make a wonderful family member! Chuck is 4 1/2 months old and an American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog mix. He currently weighs 30lbs and is estimated to weigh 44-75lbs when full grown. If you are interested in adding this handsome boy to your family, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. Please note that due to his breed makeup, we will not place him in an apartment. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
