Churro

Meet Churro, our cinnamon colored big boy. He is new to the shelter and was brought in as a stray. We don't know his history. He has been friendly with people, giving kisses and accepting affection easily. In dog play groups he is selective about his canine companions and would need to meet future fur siblings to see if they are compatible. He is strong and energetic; a playful young adult dog. He knows sit and is treat motivated which is great for training. Churro needs a home without small animals, including cats. Churro recently went on a Dog Day Out and his host gave him a glowing report! She said Churro walked nicely on the leash through the neighborhood, greeting lots of people and happily accepting attention. He'd sit quietly and wait during conversations, taking treats gently as a reward for good behavior. Back in the yard of the home, he enjoyed a treat puzzle and appreciated help getting all the treats out! He also decided that his water bowl needed his foot in it to improve the flavor! He was happy cuddling and enjoying the grass in the yard. The final assessment? "Very handsome boy with a great temperament!!" He is neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated and ready for a forever home! His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
