Hi there! My name is Cider, and I'm an 8-year-old labrador mix with a striking black and white coat. Weighing in at 48 pounds, I'm the perfect size for cuddles and playtime. I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm all set to join your family! I'm a joyful and playful guy who brings happiness to everyone I meet. I'm loyal and super cuddly, always ready to snuggle up with you. While I might be a bit shy around strangers or in big crowds, once I warm up to you, you'll see just how trusting and loving I can be. I'm great with children and other dogs – in fact, I'm known as the sweetest boy around! I haven't been tested with cats yet, but we can certainly find out if needed. I'm potty-trained and walk well on a leash, making our outdoor adventures a breeze. I'm also crate trained, though I might feel a bit anxious if I don't know you well yet. But don't worry, with a little time and trust, I'll settle in just fine. I am sporting a shorter tail nowadays. I had what is called “happy tail syndrome”. This is because I am extremely happy. I wag my tail so much and am constantly hitting it on things causing me to injure it. After trying to heal it several times with no success, the vet determined it was best to perform a surgery to dock my tail. But no worries. I am all healed up now and still as happy as can be! I absolutely love dog toys and can spend hours playing with them. Currently, I'm being fostered in Asheville, NC, but I can be transported to my perfect forever family. Could that be you?
