Cindy Lou is a 11 month old Labrador/Shepherd mix who is not only beautiful - but intelligent, too! She deserves to find her forever family - and we're here to help her do that. Cindy and her siblings were rescued as strays in Houston, TX where their foster family found them roaming - presumably dumped as an accidental and unwanted litter, which is unfortunately quite common for Texas. Despite this abandonment, Cindy is well-rounded, gentle, sweet, and has a wonderful demeanor. Cindy and her siblings have been raised in an incredible foster home where they have felt love. Cindy is house trained and crate trained - thanks to her dedicated fosters. Not only does Cindy Lou have her basic indoor manners down-pat, she is also very well socialized with other dogs. She would do very well in a home with another canine companion to romp around with. She has not been tested or exposed with cats. She has not been exposed to small children. Accordingly and with her shy demeanor, we would recommend a home with dog-savvy children over the age of 10. Cindy is currently enjoying a large fenced-in backyard and would love to move into a forever home that can facilitate the same - but a fenced-in yard is not a requirement. An active family who plans to take Cindy on long walks, hikes, or on new adventures would be the perfect match for this girl! Despite her adventurous side, Cindy Lou has a tender heart. She can sometimes be shy at first - but warms up quickly with a patient hand and treats! Cindy is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She is very good to have her nails trimmed - and loves playing in the water with her siblings!
