My Story

"Missing something? Sorry about that, it's probably in my crate! Promise it isn't chewed though, I just like to hide things in my bed! Hi! I'm Cirice! I have a confession to make... I like to hide everything in my bed! I don't chew things up, but I'll definitely snatch any interesting artifact I can find and stash it in my blankets. I get very silly and excited when my foster mom looks in my crate to see what treasures I have scavenged. Anything on the floor is fair game... mostly I collect toys, but I'll also pirate a slipper or flipflop now and then. That being said, I'm a very sensitive girl and if you catch me in the act and tell me 'no', I will never touch it again. I don't fully know what I'm allowed to have and what I'm not, but I don't like to disappoint my foster mom and I listen when she tells me to leave something alone. I am a 5 year old boxer. I was surrendered to Zoe's by a commercial breeder who was downsizing their kennel. Being in a home is all new to me, and sometimes I find it a bit overwhelming. I retreat to my crate when that happens. It helps me feel safe and my foster mom leaves the door open so I can come out when I'm ready. My foster home has other dogs, cats, rabbits, and I get along with everyone. I am shy at first, but my foster dog siblings boost my confidence. I love to follow them around. My foster mom has spent a lot of time with me to help me adjust to life in a family. New things can be very scary. She tells me how proud of me she is every day as my confidence grows. I love treats! I never say no to a pupperoni! I am a chunky gal, and my foster mom is helping me trim down with measured meals and gentle exercise. Leash walking isn't my favorite thing, but I do not pull. I am sensitive to loud noises and I do tend to startle easily. I am looking for a calm home where I can take my time adjusting to my new life, and learn what it means to be part of a family." Cirice is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning. She is kept up to date on monthly parasite prevention. She is being fostered in southern Lancaster county PA and prospective families must be willing to come to her foster home twice. Once to meet her with all members of the family, including resident dogs, and once more to take her home. Although Cirice has never had a potty accident in her foster home, she is newly housebroken and accidents are normal in new environments. Ready to meet Cirice?
