The name Clara means bright, and this Clara is sure to brighten up your life! This sweet girl is a retired puppy mill mama, who finally got her second chance at life. As Clara adjusts to the outside world, she is learning the joys of what is to come! Clara loves to be outside, but loud noises such as thunder and fireworks scare her. It is best to ensure she is safely inside on days where there is higher risks of loud noises.
Clara is working hard on her house training - and she is getting pretty good at knowing when to ask to go outside! Clara also likes to be in her crate and won't give you any issues with it. Clara really loves attention - her perfect day would consist of her and her forever family just cuddled up together for hours. Clara is hoping that her forever family is one that is home majority of the time, as that's what would really make her happy. Clara likes to run up and down the stairs but is just slightly too small to jump on furniture, but that's okay! Clara will gladly wait for you to lift her up.
There's lots of other dogs where Clara is fostered, and that is totally fine with her! Clara's favourite furry friend is Sunny, who also got a second chance at the same time. Clara was very nervous with all her life changes once arriving to foster care, but the other dogs helped her to gain confidence. She will require another calm and confident dog in her new home to continue to help her adjust to her new life. Clara is still very timid and nervous at first meetings, but as you gain her trust, you will become best friends quickly. Clara will bark at new people and anything that frightens her, but she is still working at adjusting to this new big life. Clara is good with children 10 years and older, and good with other dogs. Clara hasn't ever met a cat, so it is unsure how she would do with them. Potentially a dog savvy cat would be alright. Overall, Clara is a sweet, but shy girl waiting to meet her forever humans and embrace retirement. If you're looking to brighten up your life; Clara is here and waiting for you!
