Clarice ("Clara")

Clarice ("Clara") is a beautiful 6yr old beagle mix. She has done extremely well with other dogs in her foster home and has had exposure to kids as well - passed with flying colors! She has such an excellent temperament, and we know she'll make a loving and fun addition to her forever home! This girl is potty trained and crate trained too - yahoo! If you are looking for a loving, fun, and friendly dog then you should definitely consider adding Clara to your home. Clara is on activity restrictions given she tested positive for heartworm. What does this mean for her potential adopter? It means she can join your family today and start to give you her love but that she can't run around get her heart rate up just yet. She will be retested for heartworm again in Dec 2024, and all related vetting is to be covered by Paws Across Pgh. To help Clara feel part of the family, her current foster has been having Clara on a leash tethered to her coffee table if she is not crated in the living room. She can also hang out on the couch and receive pets and cuddles. This allows Clara to feel part of the family but prevents her from running around and getting her heart rate up. She seems to enjoy this balance and soaks up pets and love. Clara deserves a nice fenced in yard to run and play in once she's off her activity restrictions.
