My Story

NAME: CLOVE GENDER: FEMALE BREED: FORMOSAN MOUNTAIN DOG MIX COLOR: BROWN AGE: 1 YEAR OLD WEIGHT: 28lbs SPAY OR NEUTER: Yes MICROCHIP: Yes If you would like to give CLOVE by a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with home photos. Clove is a sweet and gentle girl! She is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Clove has a good temperament and lots of love to give. She has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. However, there is not a mean bone in her. Clove is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Clove started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands. We are looking for a committed home to continue training and socialization as she grows up. Clove’s Rescue Story Clove and her siblings, Clova & Clovi, were found abandoned in the mountain. They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. She really does not have space for another dog. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life. Clove had a thorough medical checkup. She had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Please give Clove a loving home where she will never be left behind again.
