My Story

Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application. Our ADOPTION application is found at www.seniorhearts.org/how-to-adopt Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Please select "More About Us" for further details on our adoption requirements. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process. We look forward to receiving your application in hopes that you are able to meet our adoption requirements and provide this dog with a loving furever home. And now a few words about Clyde… Clyde is ready to find his furever home and cannot wait to give his furever people all of the unconditional beagle love they can handle. He is 7 years young and weighs about 30 lbs. He is housetrained and also loves being outside. A home with a secured fence would be perfect for him so he can sniff the entire yard up and down and lay in the sun. He needs a home with at least one other dog. He absolutely loves people and other dogs. To make him even more perfect, he loves cuddling with his humans. Clyde is super sweet and friendly and a great listener. He is working on being more of a polite walker. He is food motivated and we have used that to our advantage to work on training. He is energetic and strong and would do best in an active household. He is great to take on hikes or long walks. He can be adopted within a two-hour driving radius of Pittsburgh, PA. If you want to make Clyde a part of your family, you must first complete the adoption application at www.seniorhearts.org/how-to-adopt
