Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel has not had a good life....we met Coco when she arrived at our spay neuter clinic this past spring. Evidently, she had lived in a box HER ENTIRE LIFE. She was covered in fatty tumors (that look life callouses) and had absolutely no muscle tone because she was never allowed out of her box to exercise. When the vet applied flea spray after her spay operation, fleas bubbled off of her like volcano lava. Coco's gums were anemic white and no one in our organization had never seen such an infestation. We convinced her owner to let us have her..... Many months later with lots of love, exercise and attention, Coco Chanel is a new lady! Coco Chanel is a full blood Labrador retriever, approximately 8 1/2 years old, her teeth are not much more than nubs due to a bad diet, but she can eat anything. She loves kids and other dogs, but chases cats. Coco was also lightly heart worm positive but currently is receiving treatment that's almost done. She has a few fatty tumors left from her life of living in a box that will never disappear but are completely harmless. (They can be softened over time with callous cream and might reduce in size) This grand lady loves and appreciates any attention she gets because she's never had much. Doesn't she deserve a better life with a forever family?
