Coco-Chanel

Coco-Chanel is looking for her forever family. She is currently in foster care in Nanaimo. Coco-Chanel is an 8 yr young female, 14 pound Chihuahua mix breed that came to us from California. Coco-Chanel was surrendered to a shelter in California after her owner passed away. We partner with shelters and often take in the over-looked dogs, dogs that are not doing well in shelter to place for adoption, senior dogs - these dogs often will need help from rescue relocation. We take these dogs into our care , place them in foster care to assess behaviour and bring them to our veterinarians for assessment and medical care - we then place them up for adoption. Coco has spent time in our foster care program and has seen our veterinarian. She is ready to find her new home. She prefers someone who is around most of the time - work from home, retired. She has lived with cats, but depending on the cat and the situation, she can choose to be very focused on the cat and will become vocal. A home without cats would be preferred to ensure a more successful transition into the adoptive home. She has and can live in a home with other small confident dogs. Coco-Chanel will get very attached to her caregiver once she knows she is safe - she immediately bonded with foster mom and her family. She is a friendly girl by nature, but can be insecure so will cope by being vocal. She can be vocal with strangers or in a stressful environment. She is a great little dog in the home, housetrained, snuggly and loyal. Coco-Chanel is spayed, vaccinated including Rabies, heart-worm tested negative, has recent bloodwork results unremarkable, has strong heart, microchipped.
