Colt

Does anyone remember Colt?? We rescued him very recently from a local shelter. He was too much for the foster’s cats and was being returned, however he was adopted while we were scrambling for new placement & we were all sooo happy. Unfortunately, Colt has now found himself in the same position…. Again. Name: Colt Age: 3 Weight: 52 Male Dogs: Good with one on one dog play, will sometimes not understand other dogs body language cues Cats: will chase after them/ more in a playful way rather than aggressive Kids: Inexperienced with kids Best suited for a quieter and calmer home with a yard. Very much enjoys going on walks especially in the woods/trails. Never had him in a crate but has been in a feeding pen which he does not mind too much. Will sometimes bark in the pen Walks very well on the leash, does not pull often. Low to medium energy. He knows sit and is pretty good with the come command-highly trainable and food motivated. Behavioral: will bark somewhat frequently like a hound. Has went after other dogs before, seems to dislike doodles and can be territorial. Special needs: would do best as only dog but would do well with one other calm dog. He is all around very low maintenance and tires out very easily from walks and then mostly enjoys relaxing and chewing on dog chews. Not much interest in toys. I think he would flourish in a quiet home with a yard. Although he's food motivated he won't go after food unless told it's okay. He's a good listener and quick learner.
