Contessa / F / 3Y / 40lbs / Hound mix / Fostered in Owen Sound Contessa is the cutest low rider around (she's only 11inches tall). She is very friendly, affectionate and silly. She does the cutest little dance in the mornings when she is excited for her breakfast. She loves going on walks, sleeping in beds that are too small for her and eating her favourite snacks. Her foster parents describe her as calm but vocal when excited, cautious in new situations but when she feels comfortable, she is a very happy girl. Contessa is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash. She is currently working on learning 'sit'. She is getting 2 walks a day plus outside time and is low/medium energy level. She has not shown any separation anxiety or guarding behaviours. She hates being left out and always wants to be with her people to see what's going on. She is on a diet plan as she does need to lose a few pounds. Contessa is shy when meeting new people but eventually warms up. She is good with other dogs but is a little too interested in cats. She would be fine with respectful children 10+. Her ideal home is a quiet home with someone who will spend lots of time with her, who will help build her confidence in new situations and who will give her plenty of love.
